I was given the opportunity to visit St. Ignatius Church last week-end (September 21, 2003). This beautiful historic Catholic Church by itself was inspiring. What an incredible church. What really stood out for me though were the people. This congregation was extremely eclectic. Everyone seemed to know everyone else. They warmly greeted each other, and welcomed my husband and I without question. It has been a very long time since I've gotten to experience that kind of real love for my fellow man. It's difficult to explain, you have to experience it. I found the experience moved me to tears. That is how it's supposed to feel when you are in God's house. If anyone from St. Ignatius' has the opportunity to read this, thank you for the experience. Colleen |
